When the audience becomes the entertainment: a collection of limericks
We've all been there and seen some atrocious behavior at movies. Do enjoy this set of limericks!
The movie, work of art to esteem
The tickets, you go to redeem
A bag of pop corn
A drink to go on
And the person beside you breaks wind.
You know that the person beside you
Seems to have a huge issue
Many loud sobs and sighs
You don’t know why
Up her nose a trail of tissue.
The guy in front has a phone
That he is ever so proud to own
When you tell him to stop talking,
His chair he continues rocking
The movie, he eventually disowns.
The lady next to you keeps yakking
The man next to you keeps chatting
There seems, a foul smell
You can eventually tell
The breath from his mouth smells rotten.
The kids in the isle run around
One of whom enjoys playing the clown
They laugh and they lunge
And one takes the plunge
On a pair of your belongings so round.
Chicken Little
The audience, more than the movie, dramatic
I wonder if that is a tactic
To push and to sell
We know it so well
And yet, we are movie fanatics!
